TOUGHER BY THE DAY

Image
My name is  Tsungirirai Its not easy being an independent thinker in a male dominated world, were pur views as women are only accepted if you fit into a certain or specific stereotype. I grew up comfortably with both parents in Greencroft, Harare and attended some of the finest schools there. Being a first born in a family of two taught me to be very responsible and learn to protect myself at a very tender age as I grew up in a neighborhood that just had male kids. Apparently I grew up playing with boys, and at one time I was the best goalkeeper of our street team. I was born an extrovert with a very inquisitive mind and passion to explore those things that were said to be impossible to date. Unlike most girls, when I was young, I loved climbing trees, playing football, gardening, making wire cars and collecting things. My passion for reading started at a very tender age and I am still an a wide reader. I started reading newspapers when I was in grade three and quoted my firs

A LETTER TO MY 10 YEAR YOUNGER SELF

Letter to my 10 years younger self The best person to believe in is yourself “In hope that this can inspire people who don’t believe in themselves to go on trying”. Hey Live, 20 years old, I am about to become 30 and you have no clue how much your life is going to change the next 10 years. When I tell you that one day you will be going to university, lead an Amnesty student group and be happy, I know you would react with anger. That’s because you would think I am taunting you, by presenting an imaginary future that you can never have and a person you can never be. Because that is what you believe right now. That you are a failure that can never be anything else than a burden for society and the people you love. I know your life now is very painful and dark, but there is a better tomorrow coming your way, even though you can’t see or believe it in right now. I know you want to give up, but I am so thankful that you did not. That you held the ground while not really knowing the

SHE MADE ME AN INDEPENDENT SELF MOTIVATED WOMAN

Image
I am person interested in a number of things including cooking, watching movies and games. Reaching out and helping others is one of my passions especially when it comes to widows and orphans. The death of my mother made me see the real world and I knew immediately that I had to be strong and soldier on . She was a very prayerful and hard working woman and through her I learnt the importance of self motivation and independence.  I am that kind of person who does not like the famous ' If it were not for me she would be nothing ' statement. This is common in our community , a person helps you out once and they go around taking credit for every step you take in life and they always belittle you in the form of the so called black tax. I have therefore been motivated to use my own hands and appreciate the little I have. My passion is to have my own company in the line of food manufacturing and having a masters degree. The only challenge I have is finance. The other passion that I

YOU WILL ALWAYS FIGURE IT OUT

I help people optimise their lives (ihaveguts.net) Hey, my name is Mary. I am an ambitious young woman who works and does her university degree all while having a chronic disease. I am always curious to learn about nature - I am keen to learn more about geology and astronomy, and I am passionate about spreading awareness about gut health issues and helping people treat their guts right (e.g. I offer nutritional advice) and those with IBD & IBS. Having an IBD myself, I know how hard it is to juggle personal, work and study lives around, so it requires you to go the extra mile to make things work when your body is limiting you in some ways. This is where I step in with my blog (ihaveguts.net) to help people optimise their lives What inspired or motivated you to be the person you are today. Oh my, so many things and people! I’ll name just a few. Cameron Diaz and her “The Body Book”. It taught me how to love and accept my body the way it is. I stopped torturing myself with fa

BUILD YOUR OWN VISION

My parents are the greatest hustlers I am Rutendo Samantha Borerwe, I believe I am an entrepreneur who is focused on media and the fashion world but I am leaning heavily towards media. I am based in Japan. I run a YouTube channel under my name "Samantha Borerwe" and an online magazine formerly known as Street Peeper now called Avant'Garde Zimbabwe.   I am also a marketer by profession. I am in the process of writing a fictional novel and expanding my company as a whole Black Gold Group. I feel my motivation has always been from various figures I have come across in my life. If I had to name all of them, I would probably write a book, but I have highlights like Oprah is my motivation for media, YouTubers like Patricia Bright who have turned themselves in multimillionaires. I also draw inspiration from my own parents. If I had to pick the world's best hustlers my parents would make the top cut. The greatest challenge I feel in pursuing my dreams has always been
